Stipe stilista per Lacoste

Per la sua Holiday Collector’s Series del 2008, Lacoste ha chiesto a Michael Stipe di reinterpretare la celebre Polo, e il risultato è stata una geniale commistione tra il suo ruolo di artista sul palco e quello di creativo in ambito fotografico.

Il design di questa edizione limitata (soltanto 12mila esemplari verranno commercializzati a partire da novembre 2008) si basa infatti su uno scatto ravvicinato del pubblico di un concerto, realizzato dallo stesso Stipe, e sarà disponibile sia per uomo che per donna in 4 differenti colori.

MURMUR festeggia 25 anni

E’ prevista per il 25 novembre l’uscita della versione rimasterizzata di Murmur, il primo LP dei R.E.M. con etichetta I.R.S. datato 12 aprile 1983. Oltre al già citato Murmur, questa edizione deluxe conterrà un secondo cd con 16 tracce live, registrate durante uno show al Larry’s Hideways di Toronto il 9 luglio 1983 (bootleg già conosciuto ai fan più accaniti della band). Saranno inoltre presenti i commenti dei primi produttori dei R.E.M. (e più precisamente, di Murmur stesso): Mitch Easter e Don Dixon.
